Hi friends, family, and colleagues,
Just sending a little note from the Netherlands, where my beloved Cosmic Tortoise has touched down! It’s currently part of a window/micro exhibition called JENDELA, curated by Roy Voragen, and will be on display until the 31st of October.
Next, it will move on to Leiden University for the PURANA Symposium, where I’ll also be giving a lecture-performance on November 14th. More information about the inspiring PURANA project can be found here.
Currently, the Cosmic Tortoise isn’t moving like it does in the video—the mechanisms have temporarily shut down and are being repaired in Yogyakarta—but we hope to have it running again by early next year… fingers crossed…
BTW, if you’re ever in Rotterdam, you’re more than welcome to stop by my new studio! It is at Het Archief, Rotterdam-West.
And…….
I’m soooo happy to share that I’ve been awarded the generous Mondriaan Fund Start! Crazy!!! I’m cooking up plans for 2025 veeerry slowly… Exciting, scary, all at once…once again!
We are praying for good health, success and happiness to you all. Very grateful for a beautiful and defining year. Thankful to collaborators, artisans, artists, historians, curators, culture bearers, everyone who has supported my practice in big and small ways… I am endlessly grateful.
Thank you, អរគុណច្រើន, matur nuwun & hopefully see you soon…
